Letting It Go

Let it go, let it go
Can't hold it back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn away and slam the door
I don't care
what they're going to say
Let the storm rage on.
The cold never bothered me anyway

Hola everyone! Wasn't this song on loop in your phone once? Sung by Idina Menzel the song Let It Go was a part of the Disney's 2013 animated film Frozen. It touched millions of hearts all around the world with its release. It resonated with people on different occasions for various reasons. Everybody memorised this song like its going to come as a question in our exams.

The phase of letting something go has come into each one of our lives. Everybody tells us "you should let it go" and that's just it. No one emphasises on how hard it is to cut ourselves from that very thing. That very thing upon which we hold on. That very thing fed and kept alive by every ounce of our energy, hope and what not. It's like watering a dying plant everyday in hope that one day it will miraculously blossom no matter what. That indomitable flare keeps burning, keeping warm that cold thing to which we are so dearly attached.

Leaving something or person is a strenuous process. We pick up every ounce of energy from here and there, collect it, and process it which lastly gives us the strength. We make a heap of all the rational reasons for the inoperative thing or person of our world. Then we make a weapon out of it, carve it with every kind of negative feeling which we have experienced and then launch it at the right time. The right time? Oh that is same for everyone; when we are unable to breathe anymore, when we are paralysed from our brains, when our backs are against the walls and there's no room to move.
But the best thing is that, when we are scraping ourselves of that person or thing we feel free. And who doesn't want to be free? No one! Oh... the relieved sighs we give with a smile on our faces: the way then we become more energised, the new perspective to see the world, and treasuring the lesson learnt is LIBERATING. Its like a big rock has been put off from our hearts. The armour we had worn now falls off and we can feel the fresh breeze passing over our bodies rejuvenating our souls. Its like we get new strong feathers back to our wings strengthening us to fly and explore more with a new found wisdom.

For all those who are in this phase of abdicating that particular thing or people, I would really want to advice that kiss them a goodbye, a goodbye they deserve and walk from it with your held held high. Try to leave a piece of yourself in their life or on that thing without expecting anything. It would leave a hole but you would be happy and trust me on that.

Thank you
